Update

With things being really busy just now I have not been blogging as much as I would have liked. I’ve been busy with placement two of my teacher training course. Regarding the course, so far so good. Placements have gone well, I am enjoying most of the lectures and the things I am learning at Uni. Teaching the pupils has been a great buzz and I am gleaning new skills and experience all the time.

Changes

An important change, which has taken place of late, is that my family and I have left the Assemblies of God and alligned ourselves with a local Baptist church. There are numerous reasons for this shift but underpinning them all is a strong sense of the leading of the Lord.

Personal Reading

I have just finished reading Stephen Sizer’s Zion’s Christian Soldiers this book has had a significant impact upon my understanding of Eschatology and it has confirmed some of my own convictions regarding New Testament Soteriology and Ecclessiology.

I am currently reading through John Piper’s new book on the new birth Finally Alive its early days, at this stage all I can say is ’so far so good!’

Preaching Engagement

I am scheduled to preach at Renfrew Baptist church on Sunday the 19th April. Its been a number of years since I last preached there. I would appreciate any prayer at all regarding the meeting. My desire is that God will be glorified, Christ will be exalted, the Holy Spirit’s presence will be tangible, the church will be edified and sinners will be saved.
