This book is one of the best books I have read for a very long time. Whatever you have been taught about tithing you really need to read this book. This book can be read online or ordered for free from David Eells website or from Rory’s website.

In a nutshell the book shows very clearly that tithing is not a New Testament practice. Nowhere in the New Testament is the church taught to tithe. Tithing is in fact an ordinance of the law and if we try to keep one part of the law and fail to keep another part we subject ourselves to the curse of the law.Gal 3:10
Perhaps even more haunting is the abusive excesses that are revealed in this book regarding churches that teach the tithe. What is also shocking is the fact that Rory demonstrates how the Organised/Instutionalised Christian Church is robbing from the body of Christ, particuarly through the tithe.
Rory shows how the New Testament exorts believers to give as led by the Spirit and that giving in the New Testament should be for those who are in need. Instead the church through creating an organisation has created a machine that demmands to be fed. Offerings which are intended for those in need are instead poured into the building, building programmes, ministers salaries, church manses’ etc.
The church was never intended to be an institution or an organisation. This book will force us to ask ourselves ‘Am I following the tradition of men or the Lord Jesus Christ?’
This book will liberate you to serve the King of Kings. Dont think that by not teaching the tithe that it is encouraging selfish living. Instead the truth is taught that Jesus owns 100% percent of our possessions, income and life. We are stewards who are to be led by the Spirit. We should have repented of everything we own inorder that we are free to give it away as the Lord leads.
