Ten Reasons Why Every Christian Should Know The Old Testament

Introduction
In this essay I will seek to give several reasons why every Christian should know the Old Testament. For the most part the essay focuses on the value of the Old Testament has in itself and the latter part explores what the New Testament teaches about the purpose of the Old Testament.

This is from Dr. Woods of the Assemblies of God: Some people welcome this article while others feel it misses the mark. I think the criteria is by and large sound, however as a requested response to the events in Lakeland theer is still a large degree of ’sitting on the fence’ so to speak.

Is there a need for a new reformation?

It is suggested thatMartin Luther posted the Ninety-five Theses on the doors of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, Oct 31st, 1517. Wikipedia summarises the outcome of Luthers 95 thesis as follows.
