Is it possible, can it be true?
That it wasn’t my choice to be chosen by you?
If it is possible, how can it be?
Out of all of the peopl;e, you chose to call me?

A sinner by nature, no good of my own,
Saved only by grace, through faith alone!
Father, is it possible, can it be true?
That I have indeed been chosen by you?
Nothing on my part, not even my will,
Could ever, no never-your law fulfill.

Not even your requirement, to ‘only believe’,
can be grasped by a sinner-who cannot recieve.
As a blind man cannot give himself sight,
As the darkness cannot make itself light.
As the dead man cannot will himself out the grave,
Only a sovereign God, can sovereignly save!

My will is corrupt, prone only to stray,.
It is you alone who leads me your way.
Should ever I think, I must keep myself right,
I soon realise I can’t win this fight.
In the heat of temptation- in the darkest hour-
I can only depend on your keeping power!
