The Cry for More
Talk the talk, play the game,
Lord I need a hunger for your Name.
Is it a sign, from your love, we’re estranged,
While professing your Name lives are unchanged?
Talk the talk, keep on playing,
But for a deeper walk I am praying.
Talk the talk and keep plalying around,
But where can genuine discipleship be found?
Talk the talk, remain on levels of complacency,
Why be moved or motivated or changed by urgency?
When the world looks at me,
What do they see?
Do my actions match the words I say?
Or do I lack integrity?
Let a flame be lit, a fire restored,
Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord.
I want my life to reflect your love,
Come, consume me, precious dove.
Holy Fire, Heavenly calling,
Come pick me up from the heights I have fallen.
I cannot be satisfied with a shallow profession,
My deepest need? A Holy posession!
Complete surrender, my hearts desire,
Set me ablaze oh Holy Ghost Fire!
May my life honour your Name,
May my life spread your fame.
May my heart nothing but you adore,
May I not be satisfied but long for more!
I want the character of Christ formed in me,
So that when the world looks, its Jesus they see.
Don’t wana walk an ordinary way,
Let treasure flow- from this jar of clay.
Lord take me, lift me higher,
Transform me, reform me with Holy Fire!
